With the latest addition of a 7,500 litre underground rainwater tank, Coastline Plastics Water Tanks now have five underground water tank sizes to choose from. These tanks can all be installed under a driveway, house or in the garden.
They can free up valuable above ground space, as well as meeting the Basix requirements. Installed to engineer’s specification, they are rated to carry a static car load of 500kg.
Three of these underground tanks need less than 1.8m excavation, which makes it easy for DYI installation and puts them within WorkCover regulations. Even the larger two rainwater tanks are relatively shallow in depth, drastically reducing the costs of excavation, compared to similar capacity underground tanks.
With recent news reports of continued droughts and El-Nino effects, now is the time to consider putting in rainwater tanks. Water restrictions can only go so far and, let’s face it, they are here to stay. It could even get worse.
We must remember that we are living on the driest continent in the world. As our population grows and concentrates heavily in the cities, there is bound to be a huge strain on infrastructure. This is why underground rainwater tanks are so crucial.
